The jury 2008 will be announced on these pages the 12.05.2008.
It will consist of equal well-known personalities as in the year before (see bottom of page).

APPLICATION NORMS:
The following sets out the Entry Rules for the 2008 Prize.
1. The Lions Club Offenbach-Lederstadt announces the "Offenbacher Löwe 2008" for the second time. The award aims to encourage and promote young talented Theatre Designers. Young Stage and Costume Designers European-wide can apply.
2. Entitled to take part are scenery students in the main study, scenery graduates whose diploma/certificate is not older than two years and Stage and/or Costume Design assistans who reside in Europe.
3. "Classical theatre plays" is the Topic of the Offenbacher Löwe 2008 . Works that have alreday been realised can be sent in as well as conceptual work on this topic, for example model photographs, storyboards etc.
4. The Prize will be awarded for a work that shows the Designers ability to conceive contemporary theatrical space.
5. Candidates must submit a current, signed CV in a closed envelope that also contains the following: name, date of birth, place of residence and address -postal as well as email -and telephone number (also mobile number recommended).
6. Candidates must also include a personal statement detailing the project. This must be no more than one side of A4 in english language. The presented work must be submitted on CD-Rom/DVD providing an equivalent amount and detail of the presented project, space and costumes.
7. Candidates can submit up to two projects. The submitted works must not be older than two years.
8. Candidates must submit their work from 14th of april up to the 15th of may 2008, this is the deadline for receipt of portfolios.

Please note that the date of the poststamp is decisively for the application. Applications later than 15th of may will not be taken in consideration. All reasonable steps will be taken to ensure the safety of entrants´work while it is at the Ledermueum, Offenbach, but we cannot accept responsibility for any lossor damage. Candidates are reminded to make their own insurance. We strongly recommend applications are sent to the administration by registered post.
9. The Price "Offenbacher Löwe 2008" is endowed with 5,000 euros.
10. The Award's ceremony takes place on Wednesday, 28.05.2008 at 6. pm in the auditorium from the Deutsches Ledermuseum Offenbach.

On this day the exhibition accompanying the price will be opened to public in the Ledermuseum Offenbach am Main. The best ten works of the competition will be displayed.
The exhibition will be open to public daily from then on until the 31.05.2008.
The winner of the competition must be present at the Award's Ceremony. Travel expenses and lodging are taken over.
The material sent in will be destroyed after the exhibitions if a transport at the expense of the Candidate is not organized.
11. The jury will be as prominent and international as in the year before.
12. With the entry of the project the conditions of participation are regarded as accepted an the sender as author of the work explained.
